Mariquita La Posá cave
This small cave conceals a charming legend—that of “Mariquita La Posá,” who saved the people of Mojácar from a devastating epidemic. The townsfolk, grateful for her courage, sing to her when they pass by the cave:
“Come out, come out, Mariquita La Posá, The one with the hole in her hand. If she didn’t have it, All the town would vanish.”
